I started my "official" training yesterday with a brisk 3 mile run. While it wasn't as bad as the first time I laced up my shoes, it still sucks. My one saving grace is that i'm not starting over from scratch, my pace yesterday was my pace when I ran my first 5K race a few years ago. I was checking out my app on iPhone that i'm using and I realized that in just a few short weeks I'll be running 5 miles instead of 3, that's a bit intimidating but I know I can do it. I hope to get the point where I look forward to my runs but right now i'm not there. I'm planning on doing a St. Patty's Day 8K, because free beer...
Scott doesn't know this yet but I plan on making him take the kids on the half mile loop.
Tonight is Day 2 of my training and i'm supposed to cross train. I'm doing a combination of Jillian Michaels (Ripped in 30, highly recommend) and some at home cross fit moves.
As far as other things in my life, classes resumed on Monday (hooray, insert sarcasm). Back to the monotony of homework, quizzes and tests. While I hate it most days it does give my brain a nice workout because lets face it, having a conversation with a 5,3,2 or 4 month old (or any combination of) can turn your brain to mush. I don't enjoy school anymore now than I did 8 years ago.
Gavin has started learning how to write his alphabet and is doing so well. He's so excited to start school in fall (is mommy? probably not so much). I have to get him registered in April which is right around the corner. I'll be shopping for school supplies and clothes before I know it.
Kegan is rounding the corner of 4 months old and he's such a bright spot in my day. He's the most laid back and chill baby i've ever been around. The minute I saw him after he was born I knew he was an old soul and he affirms that belief everyday.
Enjoy your blogging!!
