Playing Catch Up

It's been a crazy couple of weeks here in the Didaleusky household. We've been battling a virus for a week now. Quinn was the first casualty with fever, vomiting and diarrhea. She was sick for 2 days and then Kason caught it, same symptoms. The night Kason got sick so did Kegan. Thankfully the baby just got a snotty nose and cough (thank you immunity from breastfeeding!). Scott was busy cleaning up messes in the boy's room while I was attending a miserable baby. Within a few hours of Kason getting sick I started to feel gross. That evening I had a fever of 101, aches, chills, headache...the whole gamut. Have you ever tried to nurse a sick baby every hour while you have a fever? It's not fun.

We're now a week into it and everyone is finally on the upswing. The older kids are healthy and Kegan is on the tail end of his cold. He slept all night last night for the first time in a week. My milk supply has taken a huge hit so i'm forced to take it easy for a few more days and hydrate myself and let baby nurse as much as possible.

Being sick means no training. No training makes Marli unhappy. Between injuries and sickness my training isn't going as well as I would like. I'm hoping that by Sunday I will be 100%.

In the midst of the plague that went through our house i'm taking 2 really demanding classes. So homework, 4 sick kids and sick myself I guess it's no wonder i'm not bouncing back as quickly as I normally would.

Scott was a saint during the 3 days that I was out of commission but he did say that he can't wait to go back to work. I don't think he's quite cut out for the stay-at-home gig ;)
